Submucosal-fibroid-vascular

This Submucous fibroid of the posterior wall of the uterus shows unusually high vascularity which is unusual for a fibroid. But this lesion shows world pattern typical of fibroid.

Submucosal fibroid

Fibroid just below endometrial stripe.
Can cause severe hemorrhage during periods.
Submucosal fibroid to be differentiated from endometrial polyp if it bulges into uterine cavity.
Seen best on transvaginal ultrasound.
