A 10 mm well-defined, hypoechoic, vascular mass is seen just below the lower pole of the right thyroid lobe on ultrasound and color Doppler. The patient’s elevated serum calcium (11 mg/dL) strongly suggests a parathyroid adenoma. No calcifications are present. Thyroid appears normal.
