The right ovary in this ultrasound image shows a daughter cyst like structure in the dominant follicle. This is the cumulus oophorus or granulosa cells surrounding the mature ovum. During ovulation it is released.
This middle-aged woman has typical features of breast cancer or carcinoma of left breast. Markedly hypoechoic mass with increased vascularity on colour Doppler. 3D ultrasound further confirmed. Microcalcification also present.
3D and 4D ultrasound can produce stunning images of urinary bladder content and structures. In this case, a vesical calculus measuring 2.5 cms is seen. Near it is the enlarged median lobe of prostate. See:
