= left appendix testis swollen measuring 1 cms. Non vascular.
= tenderness over appendix testis
= increased vascularity of left epididymis and testis
= small hydrocele left

All the typical features of mild or early Hashimoto's thyroiditis:
= heterogenous echotexture
= hypoechoic nature of thyroid
= normal vascularity (early Hashimoto's thyroiditis may show normal vascularity)
= a small hypoechoic colloid nodule present in left lobe
Interesting case: this young lady was initially diagnosed with possible hemorrhagic cyst or endometrioma of the ovaries.
Transabdominal usg scan did not given a clear diagnosis.
TVS scan revealed a totally different picture: both ovaries showed a full blown PCOD (polycystic ovaries disease) pattern.
Moral: always try to do a TVS scan whenever possible.
